With this feature, you receive an instant, comprehensive overview of what compliance measures are required, right at your fingertips.
What is Building Energy Compliance?
Building energy compliance in the US involves adhering to a set of regulations and standards aimed at promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in buildings. Compliance requirements vary by jurisdiction, but generally are categorized into three groups; benchmarking, building performance standards and energy audit/ retro-commissioning. Building owners and managers are responsible for tracking and meeting compliance obligations to avoid fines and penalties imposed by local, state, or federal authorities. Navigating this complex, constantly changing landscape can be time-consuming and challenging, which is why we have developed our new feature to streamline the compliance management process.
Introducing the Building Compliance Overview Page
The centerpiece of our latest update is the Building Compliance Overview Page, a dynamic tool that automatically identifies and displays the compliance requirements applicable to your building based on location, property type and size. Our current customers can check out this page by selecting your building from the Backpack platform homepage, navigating to the "Submissions" page then clicking the "Compliance" tab to check it out!
